The International Water Day was celebrated by all of our students with activities which aimed at informing students about the limited water resources we share on the planet and about the people who suffer from acute water shortage. The Ecology Committee of Year 5 organised a contest of carrying water for their younger colleagues to highlight the difficulty faced by children their age who have to travel to carry water daily and thus miss out on school or play time. Today we discussed about the uneven distribution of water resources on our planet, about the negative impact of water shortage or of consuming dirty water and about the ways in which we can all contribute to preserve the planet’s water reserves. We thought of those less fortunate than us and committed to little actions we can all take to save water.
