OFF BOOK offers a great opportunity for changing school systems patterns through theatrical means, thus making the relationship between teachers and students less formal and “distant”. Teachers are no longer “presenting” notions to students, but actively cooperate with students on a shared learning process. This process improves the students' perception of the value of school attendance.
OFF BOOK responds to these challenges aiming at:
1. Improving secondary school teachers' intercultural competences in new educational methods (non formal education) to make education less 'judgemental' and more inclusive, thus promoting non discrimination and reducing early school leaving.
2. Presenting students with the opportunity to develop their soft skills towards an inclusive society
3. Exchanging of good practices amongst the partner countries
4. Setting up a transnational network of secondary schools whose cooperation will continue beyond the project life
