EuroEd Foundation has a portfolio of over 100 national and international projects successfully implemented .
Immigrants’ integration has to be successful in the European Union and it is important that they should actively participate in the economic, social, cultural and political life of their host countries.
However, most recently immigrants arrive in their host country without any knowledge of the host country's language, social life and cultural features, life values, norms and traditions. All these factors prevent their successful and dignified integration in the host country bringing about their social exclusion and alienation. The 2IMINED project is based on the idea that the new technology-based project product offered to immigrants, create new opportunities for immigrants to learn and acquire the basic knowledge and understanding about host country’s sociocultural life.
Project objectives
• develop an intellectual product, which would improve and extend immigrants’ learning opportunities: tools helping immigrants to acquire basic knowledge and understanding about host country’s sociocultural life. The project product will help immigrants (who are in the first year of life in the host country and usually do not know the language of the country, nor the cultural and social peculiarities of the life) to more successfully integrate into the host society.
• upload all materials as Open Educational Resources on a multilingual web platform.
• enhance educators’ competences by offering innovative pedagogical approaches in developing sociocultural knowledge and understanding of the process of immigrants’ successful integration
Target groups
• immigrants
• educators
